Tucked into a secluded glade along Forest Drive in stunning Frisco, Colorado sits Talus Haus, a bespoke collection of residences built to capture the essence of Colorado life. Wake up surrounded by towering peaks, stroll easily to bustling downtown Frisco, then whisk quickly away to whatever adventure the day holds.
Built with an emphasis on modern design, quality comforts, and connection to surrounding nature, Talus Haus is a premier small development project in Summit County for only a few lucky owners. Come along with us and make our haus your home.
Creative Services
Talus Haus utilized full in-house design support from our creative team, here’s how the project and brand came together
Brand System
First thing was first, a name. The site had only previously been referred to by it’s address, 160 Forest Drive, so we walked the client and sales team through a series of naming exercises considering options highly location specific, ex: Forest 160, some drawing from local landmarks, ex: Mount Royal Residences, and some which were more aspirational, ex: Granite Park. In the end we landed on a name that pushed toward highly aspirational with a call back to alpine heritage in Talus Haus. Talus being a type of high-alpine stone formation and of course Haus nodding to European tradition.
Once we had a name our team turned my focus toward the visual identity. Given the project’s size and position of subtle luxury, we landed on a tidy wordmark concept that was clean, simple, and endlessly scalable. To expand upon the geometric letterforms we developed a series of branded patterns that helped to make materials stand out and showcase the project’s highly-considered design. This was all finished with an iconic two-color palette drawing from deep evergreens and golden aspens.
Website
Following brand development our team built an image-forward Squarespace site integrated directly into our in-house CRM and design systems at Slifer. Emphasis was on engaging long scroll pages that really brought the incredible project imagery to the foreground. In the end we wrote all the copy for this project and paired it with renderings and carefully selected lifestyle imagery to bring it to life, even while it was in a preconstruction phase.
Sales Materials
Last but certainly not least, we crafted a suite of sales and event materials for our broker team to use in representing the project. Copy and design cues were largely taken and held from the website design that had garnered such a positive reaction from the client and brokerage community.
