What does two or three hundred thousand dollars buy right now up in Colorado ski country, in a year when people are wanting to be secluded and when resort properties sell very fast?

That sum buys nothing in the way of full ownerships of condos or townhomes in the nearest resort towns—but can go a long way for a partial ownership in a luxurious ski-base project that just opened in Snowmass Village—part of a $600 million upgrade the resort town has begun experiencing.

Right beside Snowmass’s Elk Camp Gondola and the new Limelight Hotel, One Snowmass is giving a glitzy new look to the resort village 15 minutes from Aspen, where the two towns collectively rank as the very best ski destination in the Western U.S., according to Ski Magazine.

For as little as $200,000 you can purchase partial ownership as part of One Snowmass Residence Club, picking from one of eleven 2-to-4-bedroom units that are set aside for partials. Not surprisingly, 35 positions are already sold as the project opens—many going to buyers from New York, Chicago, and abroad who are paying premiums to have holiday positions.

But the real opportunity, says Greg Traxler, Director of Marketing & Sales, is for Denver area families who have better access to the Aspen Valley, who can buy a partial in the $200,000 to $400,000 range with assigned ski access in January or March, then pick another three weeks over the year, when the valley’s other attractions are beckoning.  Those other reservations, up to three weeks total, can be used again and again providing space is available.

“This is a moment when everybody is reminded of how precious time with family is,” Traxler says, who has watched sales in the valley soar this year—up 300% in Aspen proper, where $20 million purchases are now commonplace.

“Snowmass has become a true mountain village,” Traxler adds. “When people come see it after experiencing the shutdown, it’s like you see the lights go on.”

One Snowmass has 20 partials left that each come with a charter membership attached—four premier Aspen season ski passes and a 5-year membership in Inspirato, a destination club with luxury homes around the world.

You’ll tour alluring models and see the rooftop Sky Terrace with an après-ski fire pit and infinity spa; a 2,500-foot fitness facility; and the dining that’s opening around the project. And there’s a Tesla X—private transportation for owners that’s a Lyft-type service when they want to dine out in Aspen.

And like Lyft, residents use an app to pick their access weeks—one of a number of innovations in fractional ownerships that Traxler says buyers like about these
