FRISCO — The first commercial tenant has opened in a newly completed mixed-use condominium project in downtown Frisco.
The Silver Crown Whiskey Bar opened at 9097 Flats, located at 80 W. Main St. in September. The project was developed by Lone Tree Trust and is exclusively marketed by Michele Hart and Jim Schlegel of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate.
Designed by JAC Interiors, the 2,000-square-foot space features a combination of Scottish pub and ski chalet aesthetics with a lounge atmosphere, a fireplace as the room’s centerpiece, 90 seats indoors and 25 outdoor seats. Led by head chef Manny Torres, The Silver Crown serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and an impressive wide selection of whiskey, Scotch and bourbon with a focus on local whiskies.
Proprietors Jay Dorman and Christine Thompson also intend to become a resident at 9097 Flats. The pair worked with the developers to bring forth a concept intended to be the “heart” of the building for residential and commercial tenants.
“Frisco has a lot of great bars, but nothing with this vibe,” Dorman said. “We hope to have a good mix of customers, from people grabbing a coffee and breakfast empanada in the morning on the way to Copper, to residents gathering for a whiskey, and small plates and tapas in the evening.”
Allen Guerra Architecture and Studio 951 served as architects for 9097 Flats, and Hausmann Construction served as general contractor. Construction began in June 2023.
The 80,000-sf condominium project offers 36 residences with one- to three-bedroom floor plans, 20,000 sf of garage space and approximately 10,000 sf of ground-floor commercial space.
Building amenities include an exercise room, a lobby with a fireplace, underground heated parking, electric vehicle charging ports, and individual storage spaces in the garage, including bike storage. The first move-ins have started, with 16 residences sold and nine under contract. The remaining residences are available starting at $1 million, and three commercial spaces are still available with space ranging from 1,320 to 3,598 sf.
“The building looks fantastic — the finishes are gorgeous, and the views are stunning,” a statement from the Slifer Smith & Frampton brokerage team said. “We are thrilled at how the project has turned out and are so excited to finally be able to welcome both residents and Silver Crown customers.”
